Buying A Home During The Holidays

I have always wondered just how much success people have when trying to sell a home during the holiday season. Specifically, during those weekends that are nearest to Christmas Day and New Year’s Day, do people actually entertain buyers or do they tell them to come back at another time?

There is probably no easy answer to that question — it probably depends on the seller as well as the willingness of a buyer to signal their interest in a home right around the time when they’d probably prefer to be opening up their Christmas presents.

I guess the answer lies somewhere in between: if you are a buyer needing to make a decision about a home or a seller eager to close on a deal, then perhaps not even a date on the calendar will stop you from making a deal.
